The Devout Pedestrians

Celtic, Folk, Classical, Acoustic Funk, Baroque, Mountain Loopin',
and a Healthy Dose of Bluegrass

Ed Caner and Mark Dudrow perform as a duo "playing whatever the hell they want to" on the violin, mandolin, viola, cello, and/or guitar. Sometimes they sing, too.

Their repertoire is extensive and reflects the million-or-so musical groups with which each has performed over the past 15 years (see bios). The song list ranges from A to Z (Appalachia to Zappa), and includes such artists as Johnny Cash, Garcia/Grisman, Neil Young, John Prine, and Woodie Guthrie. The extensive tune list includes traditional Celtic, American, and New Mexico fiddle tunes, waltzes, airs, and Classical and Baroque pieces.

The Devout Pedestrians also perform regularly as the back-up group for singer/songwriters in the Northern New Mexico/Southern Colorado region, including Adrienne Braswell, Justin Dean, and Tony Schueller (Desert Highway).

The duo is available to play just about anywhere, especially if it involves climbing a mountain or back-country skiing to the show.
